Stand Firm has posted this lovely and moving song which is super catchy to boot. I was having trouble with it loading all the way and began casting about on youtube and found the official video (not for very young viewers). You probably still want to watch in on stand firm for the words which are not on the video here.
The song is about a man who was gay and worked through it (with the help of a beautiful woman) and stopped being gay. What I particularly like is that he didn't seem to go in for the psychotherapy and all that (not that that's at all a bad or unhelpful thing) but rather was honest enough with himself to examine his past and present and find that he wasn't in a good place. And then, of course, the beautiful woman was a great help. It seems to be a classic case of homosexuality--domineering mother, distant and unavailable father equals sexual identity confusion.

Is this how Matt dealt with his obvious psychosexual issues?
What a beautiful song, and aren't all those young men in the video so handsome and firm? And isn't it wonderful that beautiful women have the power to redeem qorgeous men with smooth and muscular bodies? Hopefully someone will one day find a means of using women who don't look like Barbie to also redeem lads in this way.
If only the man with alarmingly feminine long hair would sing in English so that Christians might benefit from his extensive insight into human sexuality...
I always find you so domineering in your opinions, whilst your husband seems so distant and passive. Do you think your children may be gay?
Heh...I can see why this song is difficult for you to take...I mean the idea that a man could actually stop being gay is...well...it's blasphemous...no wonder you're frothing with (hardly concealed) rage. It's quite amusing really. I mean you are trying to be both "cutting" and "funny" but you just can't hide the flecks of angry spittle.
At heart, LGBTQI activists in the church are little more than fascists with collars.
Anon:
Mmmm. I don't have a collar, and am strongly opposed to wearing one. Don't like the clanging of the tags, actually.
By your definition, however, I am otherwise a church fascist.
Who knew!
Sorry Father Christian, too vulgar for my taste. Feel free to try again.
So you're ashamed of the Bible are you? Was it the verse from Deuteronomy, the reference to double-mindedness in James, or the reference to women in Timothy that pushed you over the edge?
I think, rather, it was your obvious reference to a sex act.
So clearly for you, Anonymous, all it takes for the Scriptures to get thrown out the window is for you think you've found a sexual reference.
Just because some people might have a dirty mind will never justify their rejection of the Bible, and will never counter the Scriptures' call for Christians to "be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind".
