Its nice to have a liturgy that calls for different music at different moments. Our musician just now is particularly expert at taking hymns and fancying them up on the guitar so that they sound new and different. Very refreshing. Its a constant struggle, though. I look forward to music in the parousia.Annehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06944928044277724293noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35868329.post-25742814782364799462007-06-12T17:14:00.000-04:002007-06-12T17:14:00.000-04:00Praise God, Mother Anne,You sound like an awesome ...Praise God, Mother Anne,

You sound like an awesome young priest. I'm so glad to hear that many came to know more of God, and to receive Christ at this festival, and that you had a chance to be part of it.

My background is actually Lutheran, and so I love the old hymns of our faith, and liturgical music as well. But, I also enjoy the more contemporary Christian music, and praise songs, things by Graham Kendrick.

I would love to find a Lutheran or Episcopal church that has all of this.

Grace.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35868329.post-16709490064605949122007-06-12T09:16:00.000-04:002007-06-12T09:16:00.000-04:00Thank you for praying. After such a fancy day of eating, we are going back to bread and beans, but it was nice to have one really fine dinner.Annehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06944928044277724293noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35868329.post-73849149126313790702007-06-12T07:24:00.000-04:002007-06-12T07:24:00.000-04:00To your summatious thoughts, I offer a few ponstro...To your summatious thoughts, I offer a few ponstrous comments:
1. I really prayed for you a lot this last weekend.
2. I'm really sorry I wasn't at your place for dinner, especially since all I can really afford to put on the table these days is ugali and sukuma wiki (the green leaf and onion mash that pushes one up to and through the weekend).
MEAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
